Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), together with Delft University of Technology (TU-Delft) will bring the 2021 IAME conference to one of the main gateways to Europe. With great enthusiasm Erasmus University Rotterdam and TU-Delft join forces and team up with the relevant partners in the Rotterdam region to organize an outstanding conference of high academic quality with as theme: Accelerating Transitions.
This theme mirrors the context in which ports and shipping are developing: a context of major and fast developing external trends asking for major transitions. Innovations, good research, and development of new grounded insights is key to such transitions as it enables governments and business leaders to take the right decisions.
In this light the city of Rotterdam and its related port industry very much welcomes the IAME conference, also under its initiative to develop into the Maritime Capital of Europe.
The IAME conference is taking place 25, 26 and 27 November 2021 in the Nhow Rotterdam hotel. The conference will be the first IAME conference that is truly hybrid in its form, as besides a splendid physical conference, an attractive online environment will be created, also allowing online participation from home countries.
