Rotterdam based logistics scale-up UTURN receives investment of € 2 M

Transport management platform UTURN has received an investment of 2 million euros. The investment will be used to further develop the platform and accelerate international growth. The platform was founded in 2017 as the matching platform for and by the transport industry and is fully committed to the road transport of (box)containers and is active in the Benelux and Germany. UTURN is based in Rotterdam, the maritime capital of Europe.

The platform aims to make logistics industry more transparent and efficient using data and technology. The scale-up distinguishes itself with a focus on (box)containers and platform model. By facilitating direct contact between the parties in the supply chain, transparency and efficiency is enhanced. Parties determine their own pricing, which therefore always reflects the current market situation. UTURN consequently supports by digitizing and optimizing the entire process from “order to cash”. Currently 150 shippers and 1.000 carriers are connected to the platform. Since the launch in 2018 a growth of 700% per year has been realized. The result: lower costs for shippers and carriers, higher degrees of utilization, and a more sustainable industry.
